Mumsue made it

So my mother-in-law is here this week to help us out. Michelle is having some stomach problems and has some tests tomorrow to find out what the problem might be. Mumsue is here to help with cooking and stuff while Michelle is recovering. Pray for us that they would be able to find out what's wrong.

whirlwind weekend

Well this is Jackson, a German Shorthaired Pointer we watched this weekend for a couple of our friends. This big boy was really good, although it was quite amusing as the stampede of two pupies came tearing through the house.

Sadie's photoshoot

Sadie's not the most patient person when it comes to photoshoots, but she was a good sport.

Thanks to our friend Lauren from small group who's majoring in photography ... she did an awesome job!

Monkey brain?

Ok well truthfully it was a huge mushroom that was growing in our back yard and it reminded me of a monkey's brain! Sadie tried to eat it, but I managed to salvage most of it.

the girls

This is a picture of all the girls in the bridal party. Jess the bride was my co elementary ed friend, then Amy the one with the dark short hair on the left served with me on extension and then finally Dawn the girl on the bottom right is my best friend from college. But most of all fun was that Jess, Amy and I were all in Dawn's wedding so it was a great summer reunion for the 4 of us. Praying that next summer we shall meet again.

Virginia

Well this may have been the last long trip of the summer. Long trip being defined as 6 or more hours. This was a beautiful overlook on a mountainous virginia road. We're pretty sick of being in the car, but scenery like this at least makes it bearable.

handsome girl

Today is Michelle's birthday. Happy Birthday, Michelle! I had fun shopping for her. I got flowers, a balloon, cute socks, a music CD, and more. But the most significant gift was Sadie! Sadie is a 3-month old bloodhound/doberman mix and is very mild-tempered but fun. Click on the photo to see more pictures.

Crafts in the new house

Well we're all moved in ... at least our stuff is here but I'm sure we'll be unpacking for a while! Michelle didn't waste any time before she started doing crafts again. Melinda's wedding is coming up quick, and Michelle's making the candleholders that the bridesmaids will carry down the aisle. They're looking pretty cool, click the photo to check them out!

Alex

We went down to South Carolina for Melinda's bridal shower. We had a wonderful time and some of Michelle's family came all the way down for a visit. I got to see some old friends as well. Click on picture to see some funny bridal shower photos.

Easter Dinner

Yeah it's pretty sad that I'm just now posting an Easter photo ... but I just had to say how much fun we had with my family. It was especially nice that Kim and Phil were home when we visited.

Another quilt

Michelle just finished up another gorgious quilt for a friend at work. Before you know it she'll have her own little business going.

18 roses for 18 months

Tomorrow is the 21st and that means Michelle and I have been married for a year and a half! It's pretty exciting so I bought Michelle a rose for each month we've been married and here's the picture.

new table

yesterday we went to good old WalMart and bought a new table. The main reason is because of the incident that happened last week. One of the old chairs for our old table was missing it's back, but it was still sturdy until I sat in it one morning and heard a CRACK, and a screw fell to the floor. That evening I sat down on the chair again and quickly found myself sitting on the floor! Michelle died laughing in the living room at my demise.

Winter Jam 2006

Last night we went to a concert with our youth group and some friends from work. Winter Jam 2006 was the name of it and it's probably the best I've ever been to. Hawk Nelson, ZOEgirl, TobyMAC, Newsong, and Newsboys were some of the featured artists. It had an awesome gospel presentation and a sweet motorcycle "death sphere." As awesome as it was, I think I'm getting old because a couple of the artists started hurting my ears. I think they may still be ringing.

car crashes

In the past couple weeks we've seen some weird stuff on the road. The first picture on the left shows a car that was actually driving in front of us in that condition. I knew Kentucky allowed alot of stuff, but I'm pretty sure that still wouldn't pass inspection!

The second incident we saw yesterday and was even more unbelievable! Driving home from shopping, we passed an apartment complex right before ours. The house right before the apartment entrance had a car lodged in its front door. I was driving, oblivious to the whole thing until Michelle said, "Woosh!" I still don't know quite what that means, but we turned around and drove back by the scene to check out the damage. The picture isn't that great and was taken as they were towing the car away.

The really funny thing is the story behind this picture. We didn't have our camera in the car, so I walked back to the scene afterward and walked by on the road taking several pictures. I walked past the house, crossed the street and started walking back, looking unsuspicious. Apparently I didn't succeed because the policeman called me over and started drilling me with questions about who I was and why I was taking pictures. Apparently the driver had disappeared. Thanksfullly, the policeman seemed pretty satisfied that I wasn't the driver and didn't arrest me.

youth group

Amy and Michele eating dinner before youth group. They are both in our small group and are quite the characters.

birthday boy

Well it's time to actually post some photos from the holidays. We had a wonderful time at Michelle's parents, and also at my parents. My grandparents (left) went with us to a very nice restaurant for Pop's birthday and also to celebrate their anniversary. Also check out our other holiday photos and Michelle's quilts.

happy new year

Well we made it home yesterday to our sweet little apartment after driving over 7 hours. Our visit to see both parents was wonderful. Wonderful, that is, excluding us both getting the flu, getting work done on our car, and Michelle's trip to the emergency room! But as Michelle and I kept saying, "We're doing better than we deserve."

So today it's back to work, and poor Michelle was almost buried under hundreds of web orders to enter. But we survived the day and we're almost halfway through the week.
